OVERVIEW The Mount Sinai Hospital Cardiology Fellowship is committed to fellow wellness and health. Highlights include: -On-call ride sharing provided through Uber: All fellows have access to fellowship Uber account through which rides can be charged when on-call -Regularly scheduled fellowship happy hours throughout the city -Regularly scheduled fellowship dinners at restaurants in New York City PARENTING AND FELLOWSHIP TRAINING Fellowship is a busy time for growth of not only fellows’ professional careers but can also be for fellows’ families. Our program supports graduate trainees who are welcoming a new child by birth, adoption, or foster care. The program follows policies set forth by GME regarding parental leave, vacation time, and sick time. The program has worked with many birthing moms to rearrange schedules and accommodate women around the time of pregnancy, postpartum, and lactation. WOMEN IN CARDIOLOGY The Mount Sinai Women in Cardiology group’s mission is to support, mentor, and inspire women in cardiology across Mount Sinai Hospital through each level of training. The group meets regularly with luncheons dedicated to promote diversity, discuss careers, and facilitate networking. Leaders of the fields include Dr. Lori Croft, Dr. Annapoorna Kini, Dr. Roxana Mehran, Dr. Donna Mancini, and others
