The Mount Sinai Hospital
Gastroenterology Fellowship
The Gastroenterology Fellowship at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is a fully accredited three-year fellowship. This training program draws upon the resources of two affiliated campuses: The Mount Sinai Hospital and the Bronx VA Medical Center. Fellows receive training based on a core curriculum in clinical gastroenterology and hepatology, including endoscopy and special procedures. There are subspecialty rotations that expose fellows specifically in inflammatory bowel disease, pancreaticobiliary diseases, gastrointestinal cancer, and motility. Accordingly, the fellowship also provides an opportunity to focus on a sub-specialty area of interest. A strong emphasis is placed on scholarly pursuits, with 18 months of the fellowship dedicated to developing skills in basic science, clinical research, clinical epidemiology, quality improvement and/or medical education.
