Hematology and Medical Oncology Fellowship Program
Our program's official name in the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) is the Hematology/Oncology Fellowship at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (ERAS #1553521050) with NRMP Match Code #1490155F1 (Hematology and Oncology/Investigative). Mandatory Drug Testing
Consistent with Mount Sinai's commitment to a safe and drug-free environment for our patients and staff, all new employees, including housestaff, are required to pass a drug-screening test prior to beginning employment. Accommodation will be made for those taking prescription drugs.
Application Timetable:
Applications are accepted between ERAS’ opening date and August 1 of each cycle, for a July 1 start date the following year. Applicants invited for interviews are scheduled on Thursdays in September and October and will have a virtual interview day. We will not be conducting any in-person interviews during this application cycle.
Application Checklist:
All application materials are processed through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS); the following materials are required:
- Completed ERAS application
- Current CV
- Personal statement
- Medical school transcript
- Dean's Letter (MSPE) from medical school
- Test scores (USMLE Step 1, 2 and 3)
- At least three letters of recommendation; one letter must be provided by your Residency Program Director
- Applicants from non-USA medical schools must provide an ECFMG Certificate

The Match
All positions in the Hematology and Medical Oncology Fellowship will be filled via the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). Interviews will occur during the fall and the Match will occur in December. Please refer to the NRMP Specialties Matching Service website for details regarding the Match.
