Message from the Program Director
The Mount Sinai Interventional Endoscopy team is committed to providing an outstanding learning experience for our trainees. Our group consists of highly skilled and experienced faculty with expertise in a diverse background of disease processes. All team members have been recognized for their passion, dedication, and skill at teaching. As such, our goal is to teach our trainees the art of compassionate, patient-oriented care in a multidisciplinary team approach, and to provide true mentorship in order to help develop the next generation of academic interventional endoscopists.
It is our belief that the key to developing into a proficient and capable endoscopist is that one must truly appreciate the disease processes they are managing. As such, the Mount Sinai program is not simply focused on teaching the “how to” aspect of the procedure, but rather centers on the overall understanding of the presentation, natural history, and management of pancreatic and biliary diseases, gastrointestinal malignancies, pre-cancerous lesions of the GI tract, and the tenets of managing post-operative complications such as fistulas and leaks.
I encourage you to read more about our program and to learn more about what Mount Sinai can do for you.
